Professional Experience
I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2012. Since then I have worked with hundreds of families. I worked for four years in the NHS with autistic, ADHD and dyspraxic children, before setting up my independent practice providing school based therapy in 2018.
In 2024 I set up Neurodivergent Kids OT in response to the gap I saw for accessible, affordable and PDA friendly neuro-affirmative occupational therapy.
Personal Experience
In 2020 my son was diagnosed autistic and since then we have also realised that he has PDA (pathological demand avoidance). We are currently waiting for our daughter’s autism assessment.
After my son stopped going to school I met many families in a similar position to ours. Parents looking for support from health, education and social services and struggling to find it. (Read more of our family story here).
My move to providing online therapy is also a better and more sustainable fit for our family.
